The Boston Bruins Winter Classic Jerseys Have Arrived And They Are Awesome
The Boston Bruins Winter Classic jerseys are finally here and boy are they sharp. When they first leaked on Tuesday I wasn’t sure if I liked them or not. It was a grainy picture and you couldn’t really see the details on the jersey. Shout out to Nardini who was ahead of the curve and said she loved them at first glance.
But these? These are awesome. I’m all in on them. The Bruins are throwing it back to the 1930s with these uniforms, with the classic brown and gold color way with the striping down the arms. According to the Bruins, the crest features the classic “B” logo from the team’s home & away jerseys created with a two-layer felt application. Inside the collar the Bruins featured each Stanley Cup Championship on a shamrock. A very nice touch.
I’m dying to see the full uniform with the pants and socks. I would imagine the striping down the arms of the jersey will be similar to the socks, like this old picture of Eddie Shore. Either way, the Bruins knocked it out of the park with these jerseys.
If I had to rank the three Winter Classic jerseys that the Bruins have put out, these would be my favorite, followed by the 2010 unis, and then 2016 version. These are big fire. We’ll get a look at the Blackhawks (who idiotically fired Joel Quenneville yesterday) jerseys tonight.
See you on January 1st, Notre Dame.
